A Guide to Virtual City College

City College students can expect a full remote campus as they return to the Fall semester. Many services to students will still be available, but mostly in a different format.

The return to the campus is far from being business as usual. First off, it’s a closed campus, so contacting anyone is going to have to be via telephone, email or Zoom.

The Information and Technology Services and Educational Technology departments at City College are working tirelessly to make sure that all the online tools are fully functioning. However, glitches and bugs can happen, and students should contact either one of those departments to report issues.

All classes will be utilizing Canvas and Zoom in some capacity for the delivery of instructional materials.

Many campus services will only be accessible online or a phone call — no more walk-ins. And hopefully, students will be able to maneuver through the online cloud community until City College resumes face-to-face classes and services.

In the meantime, the City College web page is supposed to be more user-friendly and visually appealing than previous iterations. The website contains all the relevant information on how to access resources offered, including the all vital Student Health Center by way of a virtual counter to make appointments or just talk to someone.

Most resources and services provided at City College will resume in the Fall semester with an adapted format.
