Needing a win to stay relevant in the conference race for first place, the City College women’s basketball team defeated Foothill College 63-58 on Jan. 13 at the Wellness Center in a game featuring three of the conference’s top five scorers.
City College overcame first game jitters and started their season on a high note.
The Rams defeated Mission College 73-61 at the Wellness Center on Nov. 7 after falling behind in the first half.
After finishing No. 2 in the state last season—their highest ranking and best overall record ever in the school’s history—there is just one more accomplishment lacking for City College women’s basketball. Winning a state championship.
