Homecoming of Diego Rivera’s Mural Not Going Quite as Planned

They say history repeats itself. Diego Rivera completed a mural intended for a City College building that was never built, In 1941. Eighty years later, the mural was planned to be installed into the Performance Arts and Education Center which has still not been constructed.

Newly-elected Trustees Sworn in at City College; Alan Wong Elected Board President During Special Meeting

With roots in San Francisco, Anita Martinez, Vick Chung and Susan Solomon ran on a labor-backed slate in November and unseated three long-time incumbents. Now, the new trustees promise to listen to the concerns of students, faculty and the public. Alan Wong was also elected board president during a special meeting on Jan. 19, and Anita Martinez was elected vice-president.
