The 2023 Rams’ dream of a state football championship ended in a nightmarish 41-6 massacre by the American River College Beavers in the Northern California Regional Playoffs in Sacramento on Nov. 25.
A heartbreaking defeat to the CSM Bulldogs ended the Rams football team’s perfect season, losing 44-17 in a one-sided affair.
San Mateo also has a perfect record in Bay 6 competition so the game on their home field will determine the championship as well as the top seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs.
The City College Rams football team hammered the similarly named Fresno City College Ram team, 45-24 on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The City College Rams came out on top during their bout with Butte College at George Rush stadium on Saturday, September 16. After being down 2 points going into the second half, the Rams persevered for a final scoreline of 27-15, continuing their unbeaten run.
The Cubs fought with spirit but were no match for the Rams, who seemed to be playing in a different league.
Quarterback Teddy Booras and wide receiver Jake Calcagno shared Collins’ take on the scrimmage and the upcoming season. “Yeah, I thought it went well,” Calcagno said, and Booras added, “I’m looking forward to our first game against Santa Rosa.”
Rams football is back!

Sparked by a high-powered offense, the City College Rams beat-down the Chabot Gladiators 38-14 on Nov, 5 at George M. Rush Stadium.
After putting up 443 yards of total offense last week, CCSF could only manage a total of 143 in today’s 20-31 loss to the Eagles.
In an intense defensive game, the Rams men’s soccer team surged in the second half of play to edge Foothill College 2-0 on Oct. 18 in Coast Conference play at home.
