City College Art Professors Exhibit Individual and Collaborative Pieces in Upcoming Show

Retired and current art professors, Anna Asebedo and Nancy Mizuno Elliott, respectively, are displaying their works in a new art exhibition, “Abscission,” running from August 28 to September 28, 2023, in the City College Art Gallery. The show includes their contrasting work, as well as collaborative pieces made by the two over the summer. The show’s opening reception is Wednesday September 6, 2023 from 5:30-7:30pm in the Visual Arts Building, Room v119.

After 40 years of Service, City College Phone Operator Retires

Vicky has worked at City College for forty years as a Switchboard Operator in ITS. She’s retiring this month and it’s the end of a lifelong career here. Vicky started at City College right out of high school and saw the college change over decades. Telecommunications certainly changed with it, new automated services coming to ITS.

Associate Dean of Student Activities Charlton “Skip” Fotch has retired. An interim replacement has been selected by Chancellor Don Q. Griffin and will likely be approved at the next Board of Trustees meeting.
