It’s been said that absence makes the heart grow fonder. The women’s basketball team couldn’t relate more. Their return to campus has been one year in the making.
The City announced on Feb. 14 that they would be shutting down two out of three vaccination sites, and the third at SF Market in the Bayview would be upholding their existing appointments, but at reduced capacity.
On opening day, the mood was ebullient. “We’ve had a couple people cry out of joy,” said a city rep checking people in. “It’s a great way to spend a Friday, even in the rain.”
