Students in City College’s journalism department won 18 awards in the 44th Annual San Francisco Press Club’s Greater Bay Area Awards. The prizes include eight first place awards.

Essential Workers, not Corporations: No on 22

One of the propositions in the 2020 ballot is prop 22. Prop 22, as described in the ballot, “Exempts App‑Based Transportation and Delivery Companies from Providing Employee Benefits to Certain Drivers”. Gig companies like Uber, Lyft, and Instacart have spent over $180 million in propaganda to convince voters of the benefits of this propositions; However, this proposition isn’t about benefiting workers, it’s about profit.

Dianna Gonzales Named Interim Chancellor

Senior Vice Chancellor of Administrative and Student Affairs Dianna Gonzales will be the interim chancellor for City College for the next three months, until a long-term interim chancellor, and then a permanent chancellor, is selected. She will take the place of former chancellor Mark Rocha, who resigned last week.
