Final budget for 2011-2012 approved

The City College Board of Trustees voted to approve a budget of $191 million for the remainder of the college’s 2011-2012 fiscal year. This budget includes cutting a whopping $1.9 million in funding for classes, a sacrifice made in the face of an ongoing statewide fiscal crisis.

“It’s not a perfect budget… but I think on balance it reflects the budget in this state and elsewhere,” said Trustee Steve Ngo, who is also the chair of the budget committee.

CCSF Involvement in Prosecution

We assume that members of the City College community would want to know when they are being misled by the administration or the Board on matters of importance. As counsel for Phillip Day and Stephen Herman, we can attest that the quotes attributed to Board President John Rizzo in your February 23 article about the Board’s role in the prosecution of Day, Herman and James Blomquist are – at best – misleading.
