Read MoreThe City College Board of Trustees voted to approve a budget of $191 million for the remainder of the college’s 2011-2012 fiscal year. This budget includes cutting a whopping $1.9 million in funding for classes, a sacrifice made in the face of an ongoing statewide fiscal crisis.
“It’s not a perfect budget… but I think on balance it reflects the budget in this state and elsewhere,” said Trustee Steve Ngo, who is also the chair of the budget committee.
