Students, faculty and community supporters of City College rallied at Ocean Campus’ Ram Plaza for a new and fair faculty contract for counselors, librarians, and instructors, on Wed., May 13, 2015. Similar rallies organized by the college’s faculty union (AFT 2121) also occurred at City College’s Downtown, John Adams and Chinatown campuses. Pre-negotiations between the union and San Francisco Community College District administrators began on April 15—formal negotiations have stalled since February. A new contract that includes fair living wages for faculty members is expected before the current contract ends on June 30.
