Downtown Campus Fire

A small fire broke out on the fourth floor of City College’s Downtown Campus on Friday, Feb. 5, about 2:30 p.m. triggering the sprinkler system and the San Francisco Fire Department to respond immediately. The fire was quickly contained and no injuries were reported.

The fire did prompt class cancellations on Saturday, Feb. 6. However, all scheduled classes will resume Monday, Feb 8 with notice of room changes to be posted in the lobby/fourth floor to direct students, faculty and staff to temporary, substitute classrooms.

The fire damaged some of the electrical system.  As a result, some class room changes were made within the Downtown Campus.
